I think out of all of them - Thursday was the most random day I experienced in New York!
Me and the 2 girls I shared a room with decided we wanted to go to Bubby's for breakfast due to how popular it is! We searched for over an hour before we found it - to then discover it was closed for a private event!
We came across the Flatiron during our time being lost... |
The Subway was so much easier to use than I first thought it would be - and surprisingly cheap! |
By the time we had searched for Bubby's it was actually lunchtime! We were starving so just went into the first place we came across. |
We then decided to venture down to Ground Zero - this was the second time I had experienced it and I still felt the same awfully sad feeling. You don't realise the sheer scale of the Twin Towers until you're stood there for yourself. One thing I did find really strange was the amount of people who took it as a selfie opportunity, laughing and joking - I really felt that was an insult to family members of the deceased that were there to grieve.
Brookfield Place was located directly opposite Ground Zero - we were freezing so decided to go in for a cupcake! The people watching in there was incredible, filled with business men and women on their lunch breaks either eating or shopping, I hope I work somewhere as cool as that one day!
Mid browsing around I spotted Drybar which I had heard of before but never actually been too.
In a nutshell, they're specialist hair blowdryers, they don't offer any form of hair cuts but have an array of different styles on offer in their look book.
I decided to go for the 'Cosmo-Tai' - I loved how all of their products and styles were named after well known alcoholic cocktails. It made the experience all the more exciting! |
That evening we spent shopping and wondering - we were in New York after all!
