Beyoncé The Businesswoman #2

Once again, Beyoncé has proved that she most definitely is not stupid.

On the 23rd of April Queen B released her sixth studio album 'Lemonade'. To say she caused a stir is an understatement. Within the album, the American singer allegedly lashes out at husband Jay Z, creating major hype across all social media platforms.

At first glance, B is acting how any normal girl would (on a much crazier scale), expressing her anger towards her unfaithful other half. However, after looking into things a little more, I've come to realise that the likelihood is there is no drama within B and Jay's relationship. They have in fact put into practice the cleverest marketing plan I've ever witnessed.

The visual album 'Lemonade' was initially exclusively available on new streaming service 'TIDAL'.
Jay Z owns 'TIDAL' and Beyoncé is a co-owner.
Due to the hype B created with her controversial lyrics, consumers couldn't wait a few extra days to buy the album on iTunes or Amazon.
Within moments, 'TIDAL' moved to Number 1 in 'Free Apps' in the United States.

The messiah of marketing or what? Leave your thoughts below!
